Ontario Christian’s historic girls basketball season received a fitting celebration.

The program was honored with a MaxPreps National Championship banner during a school pep rally, recognizing the team’s place at the top of the national high school basketball landscape. The celebration marked another major moment for a program that has become one of the most talked-about teams in the country.
Ontario Christian’s championship run was powered by elite talent, depth and a winning culture. Junior guard Kaleena Smith was also honored as MaxPreps National Player of the Year, adding an individual spotlight to the team’s collective success.
Smith has become one of the premier players in high school girls basketball. Her scoring ability, court vision and leadership helped push Ontario Christian to national prominence. With her still having high school eligibility remaining, the program could remain a national contender.
Receiving a national championship banner is more than just a ceremony. It becomes part of a school’s athletic legacy. Future players will see it in the gym and understand the standard that has been set.
Girls basketball continues to grow in visibility, and programs like Ontario Christian are helping drive that momentum. Ontario Christian now has the banner to prove what it accomplished.
